Georgia City Named Top Location for New Industry, Job Creating Development

One of Georgia’s metropolitan cities has been named number one in the nation for new industry and job creating development.

Site Selection named the City of Savannah as the leading Metro with populations in the 200,000 to 1 million bracket. The City tied with the City of Toledo, both working through 30 projects in 2020.

The accolade is a huge jump in position as Savannah ranked #12 in 2019.

Atlanta-Sandy Springs – Roswell was named No. 4 in the bracket for populations over 1 million – the same spot the region claimed in 2019. The region completed 206 projects in 2020.

Gainesville, Ga claimed the No. 6 spot in the bracket for cities under 200,000, tying with Midland, Tx and Odessa, Tx.
