Four Georgia Southern Eagles are represented on the 2022 Reese’s Senior Bowl watch list, the all-star showcase announced Thursday. Running back J.D. King is joined by nose tackle C.J. Wright, outside linebacker Randy Wade Jr. and cornerback Darrell Baker Jr. on the list.
Based in Mobile, Alabama, the Reese’s Senior Bowl is the nation’s most prestigious college all-star game, as it annually serves as the first step of the NFL Draft process.
In the 2021 NFL Draft, 106 Reese’s Senior Bowl participants were drafted, including 36 in the first three rounds. The 106 figure represents 41 percent of 2021 NFL draftees.
The 2022 Reese’s Senior Bowl will be held Feb. 5 in Hancock Whitney Stadium and broadcast on the NFL Network. Practices will be live on ESPN and NFL Network hosts a daily recap show each evening in primetime.
Georgia Southern players who have participated in the Senior Bowl: Adrian Peterson, RB (2002), J.J. Wilcox, DB (2013), Jerick McKinnon, RB (2014), Lavelle Westbrooks, DB (2014), Ukeme Eligwe, LB (2017), Tyler Bass, PK (2020), Kindle Vildor, CB (2020) and Ryan Langan, LS (2021).
