Georgia Southern University will host Operation Move-in (OMI) for students who live on the Statesboro Campus or Armstrong Campus in Savannah on Friday, Aug. 9. More than 4,000 students will move into on-campus housing during OMI.
- Armstrong Campus in Savannah: Aug. 9, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Students will begin check-in at the Armstrong Center (11935 Abercorn Street) and then proceed to their assigned residence halls.
- Georgia Southern President Kyle Marrero will be available for interviews from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at which time he will start by greeting students and families in the Armstrong Center and then assist with move-in at Windward Commons.
- Statesboro Campus: Aug. 9, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Students will begin check-in at the RAC (2687 Akins Blvd.) and then proceed to their assigned residence halls.
- Georgia Southern President Kyle Marrero will be available for interviews from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at which time he will greet students and families in the RAC. Following the RAC, he will greet students and families at Kennedy Hall, Eagle Village, Watson Hall and the dining halls from 2:45 p.m. to 4 p.m.
