Rome City Schools Called Board Meeting 3-25-2022

Rome City Schools’ Board of Education called a special board meeting on March 25, 2022, to interview candidates for the purpose of filling the vacant board member seat.

Chairperson, Jill Fisher stated,” Each candidate was great. It is difficult to narrow down from 13 candidates to one.” The board narrowed down the candidates to the top two candidates decided by a board vote. The two candidates moving forward to the second round of interviews, Tuesday, March 29, 2022 are:

  • Antonia LaShun Blanchard
  • Erin Hernandez

The Rome Board of Education will have a called meeting for the purpose of second interviews for the vacant board position and other items on Friday, March 29, 2022, at 5:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Rome Board of Education Administrative Offices in the former boardroom located at 508 East Second Street.
