Rome City Schools Will Remain in Phase Two of COVID-19 Plan After Fall Break

Press release:

After assessing the effectiveness of Phase Two of the COVID-19 plan, Rome City Schools administrators have decided to keep the mask mandate in place after the fall break.

Citing the decrease in cases, Superintendent Louis Byars and other school leadership have determined that the best way to prevent a spike in cases is to continue the current measures through the end of October.

We will continue to monitor the numbers, re-evaluate our status and provide guidance via the system’s social media pages, direct text messaging system and webpage. We appreciate your attention to this matter.
