At the request of Norfolk Southern, State Route (SR) 25 will close at the railroad tracks at Pipkin Avenue in Garden City on Monday, March 29 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Georgia DOT crews will put up barricades at the road closure and install a signed detour via Brampton Road, SR 21/Augusta Road and SR 307/Bourne Avenue. The existing SR 25 railroad crossing at Pipkin Ave. needs emergency repairs.
Motorists will be able to access businesses, schools, and residences in the area up to work zone.
