Loudermilk Calls on Pelosi to Open U.S. Capitol to the Public

Congressman Barry Loudermilk of Georgia’s 11th Congressional district is calling on Democratic leadership to open the U.S. Capitol. The building has been closed since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Loudermilk and seven of his colleagues penned a letter to Pelosi asserting that the continued closure is a ‘failure of leadership’ and ‘contrary to science of COVID-19.’

In a recent tweet, Loudermilk said, “Despite Washington, D.C. lifting all capacity restrictions and the city being 100% open, @SpeakerPelosi continues to keep the House of Representatives closed to the American people. This letter urges Speaker Pelosi to end the political charades and open up the People’s House now.”

You can read the letter below.
