U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff recently held a press conference to promote bipartisan legislation that he says will help law enforcement officers, first responders, and teachers become homeowners.
Alongside Sen. Marco Rubio, Sen. Ossoff called for passage of their Homes for Every Local Provider, Educator, and Responder (HELPER) Act to establish a new, one-time use home loan program for law enforcement officers, firefighters, medical first responders, and teachers.
“The HELPER Act would help address the housing affordability crisis by eliminating the upfront home purchase costs and the monthly mortgage insurance premium for those who serve our communities.”
