23 students in the Practical Nursing program at Ogeechee Technical College received their pins in a biannual pinning ceremony held at 4:00 pm on July 30, 2024 in the Joseph E. Kennedy Auditorium.
During the ceremony, instructors Jackie Howard, Felicia Barefoot, Haley Hendrix, Kathryn Cowart, and Laurie Jones presented the students with their pins signifying the completion of their education and official initiation into the profession.
“I’m incredibly proud of our graduates and what they’ve achieved in such a short time,” said Angel Shuman, Practical Nursing Program Director. “As we celebrate this year’s pinning ceremony, we’re not just recognizing their hard work but also their readiness to meet the urgent healthcare needs of our communities.”
Those receiving their Practical Nursing pins during the ceremony were Ruby Aikens-Barbham, Danielle Best, Callie Brantley, Marcia Caloianu, Cori-Ann Dawson, Hunter Deal, Takeela Frasier, Tameka Grant, Saleena Hannon, Alize Hendrix, Lorna Hulst, Ashtyn Johnson, Linda Kelly, Marissa Losolla, Chardena Love, Baleska Murillo, Kimberly Porter, Shaniqua Scott, Molly Smith, Alan Stewart, Stephanie Thompson, Kaitlyn Underwood, and Jaylen Wallace.
