RHS Football’s Bryant Wilkinson and Reece Fountain Receive Honors

Please join us in saying congratulations to Bryant Wilkinson and Reece Fountain of the Rome Wolves Varsity Football team.

Bryant Wilkinson, a senior, was named as Region 5-AAAAAA and Rome News Tribune’s High School Football Defensive Player of the Year.

Wilkinson finished the season with 99 tackles, 17 tackles-for-a-loss and 13 sacks all leading the Wolves defense to a record of 8-4 overall and 6-1 in the region.

Fountain stepped up after senior quarterback Caleb Ellard was sidelined due to injury against Carrollton. Rome, right in the meat of the season, asked Fountain to lead their offense and the Young Wolf answered the call. He finished his six-game run to end the season with 1,196 yards in the air with 10 touchdowns and no interceptions. Rome News Tribune has named Fountain their Freshman of the Year.

Congratulations, Wolves!!!
