GBI Arrests Former Jackson County Jailer for Aggravated Assault and Battery

The GBI has arrested and charged former Jackson County Sheriff’s Office Jailer Ronnie Banks, age 52, of Bowersville, GA, with Aggravated Assault and Battery.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office requested the GBI to investigate an assault following a domestic incident that occurred at a home in Pendergrass, GA on April 29, 2024.

Banks was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Jackson County Jail.

Once complete, the case file will be given to the Piedmont Judicial Circuit for prosecution.
