The Statesboro High School Blue Devils will have a new head coach for the 2021-2022 school year.

Coach Matthew Meeks will take on the position next year, the school announced Friday.

Meeks is a 2014 graduate and four year baseball letterman of Johnson County High School. He played college ball at ABAC, Armstrong State University, and Augusta University as a starting pitcher and team captain.

He then coached Johnson County High School for two years.

Meeks joined the Statesboro High School faculty last year, at which time he also joined the baseball coaching staff.
